Course Goals: To introduce prospective TRPC members to our range and facilities. Provide prospective TRPC members with the basic skills required for safe range use.
Who Should Attend: This class is a prerequisite for approval of membership application. Participants must be at least 8 years old to attend this class. Those who are under 18 years of age may only attend this class while accompanied by a participating parent or legal guardian.
Each Participant Will Learn (must demonstrate):
- Introduction to the Club - Activities, History, Leadership, Volunteering.
- Basic Range Safety Rules and Requirements.
- What is Expected OF YOU each time you visit the range - from time of arrival until departure.

YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER TO ATTEND THIS CLASS. To register for an Orientation Class, click HERE. The ink will open an email for you to provide the date of the class you wish to attend, your contact information (phone number/email address), the names and ages of all members in your party, and the type of firearm you will bring (Example: "9mm semi-auto", ".38 revolver", "20 gauge pump shotgun").
What to Bring to Class:
- State issued Photo ID such as Driver's License or Concealed Weapons Permit.
- Eye and Ear protection adequate for all members in your party.
Bring the following, but LEAVE properly secured IN VEHICLE until asked by Instructor to retrieve:
- An UNLOADED, PROPERLY CASED firearm (pistol preferred, but shotgun or rifle may be substituted with prior permission).
- Six rounds of ammunition (to fit the above firearm).
- A disposable target.
